Abstract:
This image formation device is provided with: a rotary polygon mirror 15a that deflects a light beam emitted from a semiconductor laser 12 such that the light beam scans over the surface of a photoconductor drum 25; a motor 15 that rotates the rotary polygon mirror 15a provided in a rotor 15d having a plurality of magnetic poles; a Hall element 16 that detects a magnetic flux change caused by the rotation of the motor 15 and generates a Hall element signal 30; a rotation signal processing unit 300 that performs filter processing for removing noise in the Hall element signal 30 having frequencies except a frequency corresponding to the rotation speed of the motor 15; and a write control unit 31 and an image control unit 5 that control the emission start timing of the light beam from the semiconductor laser 12 in each scan period of the light beam on the basis of an FG signal 22 subjected to the filter processing by the rotation signal processing unit 300 in order that an exposure start position on the photoconductor drum 25 of the light beam in the scan direction of the light beam becomes constant.
