Abstract:
The present invention provides an image formation device that, even when a pretreatment agent contains a volatile component, suppresses the pretreatment agent applied to a recording medium from volatilizing and reacting with ink in a head. The image formation device cools a pretreatment agent 80 with cooling units 71-75. The cooling unit 71 cools the pretreatment agent 80 that is stored in a tank 77. The cooling unit 72 cools the pretreatment agent 80 that is accommodated in a sub-pouch 8. A cooling unit 73A cools the pretreatment agent 80 that is inside a pretreatment agent flow path 26. A cooling unit 73B cools the pretreatment agent 80 that is inside a pretreatment agent flow path 27. The cooling unit 74 cools the pretreatment agent 80 that is inside a head 14A. The cooling unit 75 cools the pretreatment agent 80 that has been applied to a recording medium placed on a platen 15.
