Abstract:
In order to solve the problem that when a space of width set for each character is inserted to align the interval between characters, the interval between the characters is widened as a whole, which makes it difficult to read the characters, an image generation device includes a character control code storage unit (5) and a position control unit (4). The character control code storage unit (5) stores a character control code (CTD) containing a character code (CC) and character width data (CW) for each character display position. The position control unit (4) reads a character control code (CTD) corresponding to the current character display position from the character control code storage unit (5) and controls the generation period of the current character display position according to the character width data (CW) of the character control code (5) which has been read out and the past character display position.
