Abstract:
An image processing and image encoding method and device for signaling HRD parameters, and a method for transmitting a bitstream are provided. The image decoding method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: determining whether a reference sample resampling (RPR) operation is permitted; and performing a hypothetical reference decoder (HRD) operation on the basis that the RPR operation is permitted, wherein: the HRD operation comprises at least one from among an operation of determining the suitability for a video coding standard of a bitstream including encoded video data, an operation of determining the suitability for the video coding standard of a video decoder, and an HRD picture output timing signaling operation; and the HRD operation can be carried out by updating a schedule index for a hypothetical stream scheduler (HSS).
