Abstract:
An image processing device comprising: a division unit that divides an input image or a partial image, which is a part of the input image, into a plurality of block images; a detection unit that detects the brightness of each of the plurality of block images; a determination unit that determines a brightness range to be emphasized on the basis of the brightness of each of the plurality of block images; a gradation processing unit that performs gradation processing on the input image or the partial image so that the brightness is emphasized for pixels having a brightness within the brightness range to be emphasized; and an output unit that outputs the post-gradation-processing image.
