In order to acquire an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye as respective images, it is necessary for the corresponding output images of the respective imaging optical systems of a stereo imaging device to be acquired as images. Provided is an image processing device that, from image data having first pixel values corresponding to a first observation point constituting one of a plurality of observation points from which images of a subject are captured, extracts a first pixel value at a target pixel location; from luminance image data having second luminance values and third luminance values corresponding to a second observation point and a third observation point that are different from the first observation point, extracts a second luminance value and a third luminance value at target pixel locations; and calculates a second pixel value such that a relational expression of a first pixel value extracted by a pixel value extracting part, and a second pixel value of the second observation point or a third pixel value of the third observation point, is kept in correlation to a relational expression defined by a second luminance value and a third luminance value extracted by a luminance value extraction part.
