Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain a fabric with a hook-and-loop fastener function that eliminates a surface texture, which shows up as "an apparent hook-and-loop fastener form" and which arises because there are mating hooks in the hook-and-loop fastener, that assures sufficient peeling force (tensile shear strength) for a hook-and-loop fastener by mating fused clusters formed for the mating hooks, and further, that has superior flexibility for a fabric.
[Solution] This fabric is provided with a raised layer (12) constituted of raised fibers (11) formed from thermoplastic synthetic fibers with a single fiber fineness (M) of 0.3 - 10.0 dtex on at least one surface of the back and front thereof. Male-shaped fibers (14) having fused clusters (13) that are formed by fusing the raised fibers (11) and in which the maximum dimension (D) is 2 - 5 times the single fiber diameter (t) for the raised fibers (11) and non-male-shaped fibers (15) that do not have the fused clusters (13) adjacent thereto are present in this fabric.
