Abstract:
An image processing device according to the present invention processes an image captured by an endoscope introduced into a test object, wherein the image processing device is provided with: a stillness determination value calculation unit for calculating a determination value to determine, on the basis of an image having a plurality of frames, whether or not each image is an image of a still scene; a luminance evaluation value calculation unit for calculating a luminance evaluation value on the basis of the luminance value of each image; an execution determination unit for determining whether or not to execute defective image detection for a to-be-determined frame of the image using the determination value and the luminance evaluation value; and a detection unit for determining, on the basis of the pixel value of a to-be-determined pixel of interest and the pixel value of a peripheral pixel located in the periphery of the pixel of interest, whether or not the pixel of interest is a defective pixel, and thereby detecting a defective pixel with regard to the aforementioned frame of the image.
