Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an image processing device capable of reducing troubles of occurrence of determination errors due to undesired reference images. [Solution] The present invention is characterized in that: in an image processing device, in which an image capturing unit and an illumination unit are controlled to determine, on the basis of a reference image, a state of a subject in a closed space that can be opened and closed, a reference image acquisition control unit, in response to an external trigger, acquires data without illumination, then extracts from the data without illumination a representative value representing an opened/closed state, then acquires, on the basis of a determination result based on the representative value from an update timing determination unit, an image with illumination captured by the image capturing unit while the illumination unit being illuminating, and then outputs the image with illumination as a reference image candidate to a reference image acquisition core unit; the update timing determination unit compares the representative value with a threshold value and outputs the determination result in accordance with a comparison result; and the reference image acquisition core unit updates the reference image due to the input of the reference image candidate.
