Abstract:
The present invention includes: an acquisition step for acquiring two or more tissue images for which the focal positions therein have been changed in the depth direction of a tissue specimen; a characteristic information acquisition step for calculating characteristic information that indicates the characteristics of tissue images, the calculation carried out on two or more tissue images from among the two or more tissue images acquired in the acquisition step; and a field-of-view selection step for selecting an analysis target field-of-view in a tissue specimen 50, on the basis of the characteristic information calculated in the characteristic information acquisition step.
