Abstract:
This image projection device comprises: a light source 12; a scanning unit 16 that scans an image light beam emitted from the light source; a projection mirror 20 that is disposed in front of an eye of a user, and projects a plurality of image light beams scanned by the scanning unit and emitted in different directions to a retina after converging the plurality of image light beams at a convergent point 46 in the eye of the user; a reflection mirror 18 that converges the plurality of image light beams at a convergent point 44 on the near side of the projection mirror; a lens 22 that is provided between the projection mirror and the reflection mirror, converts the plurality of image light beams into converging light rays, collects the converging light rays at a light collection point on the near side of the projection mirror, and thereafter causes the collected converging light rays to be incident as diffusion light on the projection mirror; a driving unit 24 that moves the reflection mirror; a detection unit 52 that detects a direction in which a pupil of the user has moved; and a driving control unit 54 that moves the reflection mirror while controlling the driving unit such that a position at which the plurality of image light beams are incident on the lens changes according to the direction in which the pupil of the user has moved and which is detected by the detection unit.
