Abstract:
This image-reading device (1) is provided with: a substrate (24) having a plurality of imaging elements (23) that are arranged in a scanning direction; and a housing (13) that has a plurality of optical components arranged in the scanning direction so as to form an image of reflected light from a to-be-read object on the respective imaging elements (23), and a plurality of housing components (13a, 13b) that are arranged in the scanning direction so as to hold at least one of the optical components. The housing components (13a, 13b) are disposed in such a manner as to have a clearance therebetween, and the housing components (13a, 13b) are fixed to the substrate (24) at positions where images of light transmitted through the optical components are formed on the imaging elements (23).
