Abstract:
This image recognition method is for recognizing a specific image, and includes: a first step for detecting a plurality of image features from a specific image, and storing in memory, as a part, each of the detected plurality of image features; a second step for detecting a plurality of image features from an input image, and selecting from memory a corresponding part for each of the detected plurality of image features; a third step for generating a restoration image using the plurality of parts selected in the second step; and a fourth step for determining, by a matching process, whether the restoration image generated in the third step matches the input image, and recognizing the input image to be the specific image if the determination is made that the restoration image matches the input image.
