Abstract:
Provided is an image recording method by which an image excelling in concealability and having suppressed roughness can be recorded on an impermeable base material, the image recording method also excelling in the speed of image recording. Also provided is an ink set that is suitable for the image recording method. The image recording method and ink set of the present invention are such that a white ink A is discharged from an inkjet head A and applied onto the impermeable base material, and a white ink B having a smaller dynamic surface tension at 10 ms than the white ink A is discharged from an inkjet head B and applied to a region at which the white ink A was applied, whereby an ink dot A and an ink dot B having a portion at which at least a part of the ink dot A and a part of the ink dot B overlap are formed. Moreover, a time from when the droplet A lands until when the droplet B lands is 20-10,000 ms.
