Abstract:
This image recording method comprises: a step for acquiring an image by applying an ink containing water, a resin X, and a colorant on a resin substrate A which has a specific distortion rate and to which tension is applied; a step for heating the image to a temperature Td to dry same; and a cooling step for cooling the image down to a temperature Tr, wherein σtotal calculated by formula (1) is 40 kgf/cm2 or less. E(Td) represents the elastic modulus of the resin X at the temperature Td. ε(Td) represents the expansion coefficient of the resin substrate A under a specific condition. E(T) represents the elastic modulus of the resin X at the temperature T of the image in the cooling step. αr(T) represents the linear expansion coefficient of the resin X at the temperature T. αS(T) represents the linear expansion coefficient of the resin substrate A under a specific condition.
