Abstract:
This image recording method includes an image recording step in which a first ink and a second ink in this order are applied onto a recording medium conveyed at a speed of 40-300 m/min and then dried by heating. When the landing time difference between the first ink and the second ink is taken to be T1 seconds and the time from the landing of the last drop of the second ink until drying by heating is taken to be T2 seconds, T1 is 0.020 to 1.2 and T2 is 2.0 or less. The first ink and the second ink each contains water, an organic solvent, a surfactant, and wax particles. The organic solvent includes a solvent type A with a ClogP value of -0.60 to 2.70. The surfactant includes an acetylene-based surfactant (A), polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-based surfactant (B), and a silicone-based surfactant (C).
