Abstract:
Provided is an image search system exerting high search accuracy. This image search system includes a database and a processing unit. The database has a function of storing a plurality of database image data items, and the plurality of database image data items are associated with database tags. The processing unit has a function of obtaining, for each of the database image data items, a database image feature amount data item representing the feature amount of the database image data item. In addition, the processing unit has a function of obtaining a query image feature amount data item representing the feature amount of a query image data item. Further, the processing unit has a function of calculating, for each of the database image data items, a first similarity degree representing the degree of similarity of the database image data item with respect to the query image data item. Still further, the processing unit has a function of obtaining, by using some of the database tags, a query tag which is a tag associated with the query image data item.
