Abstract:
Provided is an imaging device that captures clear and high-resolution images of a plurality of subject regions. This imaging device (100) comprises: a prism (2) having a first incidence surface (211), a second incidence surface (212), and an emission surface (22); an image formation optical system (3) on which light guided from the prism (2) impinges; and an imaging element (1) for receiving light and converting the light to an electrical signal. Light emitted from a first subject region facing the first incidence surface (211) impinges on the first incidence surface (211), light emitted from a second subject region facing the second incidence surface (212) impinges on the second incidence surface (212), each of the first incidence surface (211) and the second incidence surface (212) is a concave surface having a negative power, and the emission surface (22) is a convex surface having a positive power. Through this configuration, clear and high-resolution images of a plurality of subject regions can be captured without mixing light ray information from different subject regions.
