Abstract:
An imaging device is provided with a imaging unit (10) for imaging first and second subject images having parallax in relation to the same subject, a densification process unit (20) for performing a densification process on a first image in which the first subject image is captured and a second image in which the second subject image is captured, and a phase difference detection unit (30) for detecting a phase difference between the densified first and second images. The imaging unit (10) has an optical lowpass filter (11) that has a cutoff frequency less than or equal to 1/(2P), where P is a pitch of pixels for imaging the first and second subject images. The densification process unit (20) performs, as a densification process, an upsampling process on the first and second images and a two-dimensional lowpass filter process on the upsampled first and second images.
