Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved muzzle for a projectile launcher. The inventive muzzle is coupled to the barrel of an arm for launching rubber bullets, smoke pots, etc. The inventive muzzle is of the type (i) which consists of a tubular stepped body comprising an end internal thread that is connected to the barrel of the arm and (ii) which is equipped with radial outlet holes for the release of a quantity of discharge gases that can be varied by means of an adjustment ring with radial holes which fully or partially seal the outlet depending on the angular position thereof. According to the invention, the barrel coupling system includes an intermediate bush (3) that is adapted to the thread pitch of the barrel (2). The different angular positions of the aforementioned adjustment ring (8) are fixed using a ball (23) that is assisted by a spring (22) inside a smooth axial hole (19) which is housed in one of the receiving indentations (20) in the annular wall of the tubular body (4). In addition, a second threaded hole (18) is provided for a projecting stud (24) which is mounted with play in a curved groove (21) in the tubular body (4) in order to limit rotation.
