Abstract:
An in-vehicle device that is mounted in a vehicle and includes a drive unit, the in-vehicle device further comprising a control unit that controls the drive unit and a communication unit for communicating with an in-vehicle ECU mounted in the vehicle, wherein if an obstructive event obstructing a diagnostic process of the drive unit is detected while performing the diagnosis process, the control unit outputs a detection result notification, which indicates that the obstructive event has been detected, to the in-vehicle ECU by means of the communication unit.
