Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner equipped with a presence sensor, whereby it is possible to carry out detection in a predetermined area and detection in a plurality of desired areas using general-purpose presence sensors and lenses, and also to provide the air conditioner. The indoor unit of the air conditioner is provided with a plurality of air outlets for blowing air in different directions into a room, and a presence detecting means for detecting the presence of persons in the room. The presence detecting means is provided with a plurality of presence sensors that are provided corresponding to the plurality of air outlets, and a lens that is provided for each of the presence sensors. The plurality of presence sensors carry out detection in different areas corresponding to the plurality of air outlets.
