Abstract:
This indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided with: a heat exchanger that has a plurality of fins aligned in parallel with gaps therebetween, and a plurality of heat transfer pipes that are perpendicular to and pass through the fins; and a housing that accommodates the heat exchanger therein. The heat exchanger is constituted by: a front surface heat exchanger that is disposed on the front surface side of the housing and that has a bent shape in which an upper side is bent toward the back surface side with respect to a lower side; and a back surface heat exchanger that is disposed on the back surface side of the housing and is connected to one end of the front surface heat exchanger. A sheet metal fixing plate for fixing the heat exchanger inside the housing is attached to a side surface of the front surface heat exchanger. The sheet metal fixing plate is provided with: a bending section, the width of which is narrower than other portions and that serves as a bending position when bending the sheet metal fixing plate along the plate surface; and a wall section that is bent and formed at an end section on the inner circumferential side when bending the bending section.
