Abstract:
An indoor unit for air conditioners and an air conditioner, wherein each lever of a decorative panel is operated through a drop hole, and moves vertically within the drop hole by gravity and temporarily engages a hook, and the engagement of the lever with the hook is maintained. This indoor unit for air conditioners is equipped with: a housing; a decorative panel which is mounted to the lower surface of the housing and has a suction opening; levers which are mounted to two facing sides among the four sides forming the edge of the suction opening of the decorative panel so as to be face each other; and hooks which are provided to the opening of the housing and over which the levers engage. The decorative panel has: drop holes which are formed in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the decorative panel in positions where the levers are mounted; and bearing grooves which each have the drop hole as its center, extend in the direction horizontal to the plane of the decorative panel and in both directions away from the center, and open into the lower surface thereof. Each of the levers is movable within the corresponding drop hole, and is equipped with: a hanger portion to engage the hook; and shaft portions at both ends thereof. The hanger portion protrudes upward from the drop hole of the decorative panel. The shaft portions are housed within the bearing grooves of the decorative panel.
