Abstract:
An induction heating-type cooktop according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise: an upper plate on which a cooling vessel is placed; a working coil for generating a magnetic field supposed to pass through the cooling vessel; an inverter for supplying an electric current to the working coil; a sensor for sensing the temperature of the upper plate; and a controller for determining whether the cooling vessel has been preheated by using at least one from among the amount of change in load impedance and the amount of change in temperature.
