Abstract:
This image processing apparatus comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires a captured image obtained by capturing an image of the surrounding of a mobile body by a camera mounted on the mobile body, an input indicative statement inputted by a person relating to the mobile body, and gesture information relating to a gesture performed by the person; an extraction unit that extracts, by performing a first prescribed process on the input indicative statement, at least one indication included in the input indicative statement; a first generation unit that generates, by performing a second prescribed process on the gesture information, an estimated distribution relating to a position indicated by the person; a second generation unit that generates, from the captured image, a probabilistic scene graph in which probability is added to each object included in the captured image; and an identification unit that identifies an object, in the captured image, indicated by the person, on the basis of said at least one indication, the estimated distribution, and the probabilistic scene graph.
