Abstract:

This information processing device processes a two-dimensional captured image which is generated when an attachment unit moves and an imaging unit captures an image at an imaging position in order to image a workpiece placed on a machining tool comprising the attachment unit to which the imaging unit or a tool is detachably attached. The information processing device comprises a calculation unit that (i) calculates the position of the workpiece on the basis of a captured image that was captured after the imaging unit was moved to a prescribed position on the basis of mechanical coordinates of the machining tool, and that (ii) detects edges of the workpiece from a two-dimensional captured image that was captured by the imaging unit at an imaging position after the imaging unit was moved from the prescribed position to the imaging position, and then calculates the length of the workpiece from a plurality of the detected edges.
