Abstract:
Provided is an information processing device for providing screen information to be displayed on an image display device which is mounted on the head or face of a user and used for image viewing. The positional relationship and orientation of a head-mounted display (HMD) with respect to an information terminal are ascertained on the basis of an image of the HMD captured from a camera installed on the information terminal, and screen information sent from the information terminal is displayed superimposed on a content reproduction screen being viewed in the HMD, at an appropriate position and in an appropriate orientation. Since only the information terminal is present in the content reproduction screen at the same position and in the same orientation as in the real world, the user can perform screen operations on the information terminal while wearing the HMD.
