Abstract:
A host (100) is provided with a PCIe root complex (102), a PCIe expander (116) connected to a general-purpose network N, and a PCIe switch (108) that is provided with PCIe ports and switches the connection between the root complex (102) and the expander (116). When the host (100) functions as a master, the expander (116) enables PCIe ports (109), (113) connected to the root complex (102) and the upstream port of the expander (116), and disables a PCIe port (110) connected to the downstream port of the expander (116). When the host (100) functions as a slave, the expander (116) disables the upstream port (109) and the downstream port (113), and enables the upstream port (110).
