Abstract:
There are realized a device and a method for assessing the utterance type of a user utterance and generating a system response in accordance with the assessment result. The present invention has a user utterance type assessment unit that assesses the utterance type of the user utterance, and a system response generation unit that generates a system response according to the type assessment result assessed by the user utterance type assessment unit. The user utterance type assessment unit assesses whether a user utterance is a type A requesting re-utterance of all system utterances immediately prior to the user utterance, or a type B requesting re-utterance of some of the system utterances immediately prior to the user utterance. The system response generation unit generates a system response for re-uttering all of the system utterances immediately prior to the user utterance when the user utterance is type A, and generates a system response for re-uttering some of the system utterances immediately prior to the user utterance when the user utterance is type B.
