Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a polymerizable compound-containing a liquid crystal composition in which precipitation of a polymerizable compound is suppressed and with which a fast polymerization rate, a reduced residual amount of an unreacted polymerizable compound, a high voltage holding ratio (VHR), and a high tilt stability can be achieved at the same time; a liquid crystal display device using said liquid crystal composition; and a polymerizable compound suitable for the preparation of the polymerizable compound-containing liquid crystal composition. The present invention solves said problem by providing a liquid crystal composition which contains one or two or more polymerizable compounds represented by general formula (i).
