Abstract:

Provided is an infrared detection device whereby it is possible to detect a movement, a temperature, and a static state of a detection object with a simple configuration. An infrared detection device comprises a pyroelectric infrared sensor (11), an electric signal waveform peak detection means (12), an electric signal waveform peak gradient quantity detection means (13), an electric signal waveform peak value retention means (14), and a determination means (15). The sensor (11) outputs an electrical signal according to a change of an infrared beam originating in the detection object. The peak detection means (12) detects a peak of a waveform over time of the electrical signal which the sensor (11) outputs. The peak gradient quantity detection means (13) detects a peak gradient quantity which is detected by the peak detection means (12). The peak value retention means (14) retains an initial peak value in the peak which is detected by the peak detection means (12) when the detection object has entered a detection region of the sensor (11). The determination means (15) determines the entrance and exit of the detection object into the detection region, the movement speed and temperature of the detection object, and the movement and rest of the detection object in the detection region.
