Abstract:
Ribose and 2-deoxyribose can inhibit a neutrophil activation/migration factor, and is therefore effective for the prevention or treatment of ischemia reperfusion injury. Ribose and 2-deoxyribose can also inhibit a neutrophil adherence factor in an organ preservation solution, and is therefore also effective for the enhancement of amelioration or the treatment of a renal dysfunction occurring after renal transplantation. Therefore, ribose and 2-deoxyribose can be used as an inhibitor for inhibiting a neutrophil activation/migration factor or a neutrophil adhesion, or the like.
