The invention relates to an initial product and method for producing baked bodies for lightweight building elements, in particular metal and metal alloy elements. The aim of said invention is to produce low-cost baked lightweight building elements ensuring the resistance thereof in a reproducible form. For this purpose, the initial product for producing the inventive baked bodies is embodied in such a way that a first layer consisting of a sintered powder and a first organic binder/binder mixture is formed directly on a core. A second layer consisting of a sintered powder and of a second organic binder is applied to said first layer, said organic binder being activated and/or plastically/elastically shaped in such a way that at least a temporary integral joint is formed between the initial products.
