Description:
Innovative Easy Group Pass System

Technical Field

The invention relates to car seats that are used to ensure the safety of the child traveling in the car in the event of a possible traffic accident, sudden braking or sudden manoeuvre.

Prior Art

Car seats are used in automobiles to ensure the safety of babies and children traveling in a possible traffic accident or sudden braking. Car seats are also called infant safety seat, child safety system, child safety seat, baby seat, car seat or booster seat. These seats are specially designed to protect children from injury or death during vehicle collisions.

Child car seats are usually purchased externally by vehicle owners and mounted on the vehicle seat. Many states in the world require children to use safety seats according to age, weight and/or height. In order for the child safety seat to provide full protection, it must be installed and used correctly. Manufacturers provide written and visual explanations for correct installation and use.

In 1990, the ISO standard ISOFIX was introduced to provide a standard for the fastening of car seats to different car brands in child car seats. In 2013, a new car seat regulation known as “i-size” was published. I-size is part of the ECE R129 regulation. R129 is the European standard for enhanced child car seats. With the I-size regulation, it is aimed that child car seats provide better protection against impacts.

Child car seat types may vary depending on the position of the child and the type of seat. There are five car seat groups, namely group 0, group 0+, group 1, group 2 and group 3, which are determined according to the weight and height of the children.

By making some changes in child/baby car seats, the car seat group can be raised or lowered. In the mentioned group transitions, the three-point seat belt and the five-point seat belt in the car seat are replaced.

In the prior art, when grouping is desired, the body of the said car seat must be completely or partially disassembled. The disassembly and assembly process is complex and difficult as it consists of many stages and must be done in a specific order. Even if users do this by looking at information catalogues and videos, it takes at least 40-45 minutes. However, it is very difficult to install three-point seat belts and five-point seat belts that change during group transition.

Car seats can sometimes be used by people of different age groups. For example, a family with two children aged 2 and 5 needs to make a group transition when only one child gets on the vehicle. In such cases, it is quite difficult and inconvenient to make group switching in car seats in the prior art.

In the prior art, the shoulder belt pads and the fourth contact point or five-point seat belt attachment pads must first be removed from the belts to which they are attached in order to make a group pass. In the prior art, in order to remove the pads from the belts to which they are attached, the belts to which they are attached must be removed from the body. Said pads can only be removed from the belts in a vertical manner. In the prior art, there is no car seat in which the pads can be easily removed and installed horizontally by the user, and group switching can be performed instantaneously when necessary.

Purpose of the Invention

The purpose of the invention is to obtain a car seat where group transitions can be made easily when necessary.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a car seat in which the fourth contact point or the five-point seat belt can be stored in the car seat body when not in use.

The car seat developed to achieve the aforementioned purposes contains a five-point seat belt (30) with a five-point seat belt pad (32) including a fixing part (32.1) that enables easy group transition operations when necessary, and/or fourth contact point (Safe Guard) (80) with fourth contact pad (81) with fixing part (81.1), and a shoulder belt (40) with shoulder belt pad (41) including fixing part (41.1).

Explanation of the Invention

The invention relates to car seats that are used to ensure the safety of the child traveling in the car in the event of a possible traffic accident, sudden braking or sudden maneuver. The car seat which is the subject of the invention contains the body (10), the collar (20), the five-point seat belt connection (30), the shoulder belt (40), the inner pad (50), the collar pad (60), the body fabric (70) and the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80).

There is a slot (11) in the body of the child car seat (10), which is the subject of the invention, so that the five-point seat belt connection (30) and/or the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) can enter. The slot (11) is used to store the five-point seat belt connection (30) or the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) that will not be used during group transition. Said slot (11) is large enough to accommodate the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) and/or the five-point seat belt connection (30).

The slot (11) has a cover (12). After the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) or the five- point seat belt connection (30) is placed in the slot (11), the cover (12) is closed. The cover (12) and the mentioned five-point seat belt connection (30) and/or the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) are prevented from harming the child (C) or baby /(B).

The five-point seat belt connection (30) and the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) are attached to the body (10). With the mentioned five-point seat belt connection (30) and the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80), the child (C) or baby (B) is prevented from jumping forward, slipping and hitting the front seat in case of possible accident or sudden braking of the vehicle.

The five-point seat belt connection (30) has an adjustment belt (31). The length of the five- point seat belt connection (30) can be increased or decreased depending on the size of the adjustment belt (31) and the baby (B).

The five-point seat belt pad (32) is located on the five-point seat belt connection (30). On the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80), the fourth contact point pad (81) is located. With the five-point seat belt pad (32) and the fourth contact point pad (81), harming the baby (B) or the child (C) is prevented.

There are shoulder belts (40) connecting the baby (B) to the body ( 10) on the car seat. There is a shoulder belt lock (42) on the shoulder belts (40). Said shoulder belt locks (42) are locked by entering the five-point seat belt connection (30).

The shoulder belt pad (41) is located on the shoulder belts (40). Said shoulder belt pad (41) is made of a soft sponge. The shoulder belt pad (41) prevents the shoulder belt (40) from harming the baby (B) thanks to its soft structure.

Various support elements such as inner pad (50), collar pad (60) and body fabric (70) are used in the car seat body (10) to ensure that the baby (B) or child (C) can be comfortable and protected in case of a possible accident. In case of possible contamination and/or during group transition, the mentioned support elements must be removed. Female snaps (72) are positioned on the body fabric (70) so that the said fabric/pad removal process can be done easily. The female snaps (72) are fixed to the male snaps (13) on the body (10). In this way, the body fabric (70) can be easily fixed on the body (10) and group transition can be made. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the locations of the male snaps (13) and the female snaps (72) can be changed.

The five-point seat belt pad (32), the shoulder belt pad (41), and the fourth contact point pad (81) have fixing parts (32.1, 41.1, 82.1). One of the fixing parts (32.1, 41.1, 82.1) has velcro loops while the other has velcro hooks. Thanks to the fixing part (32.1, 41.1, 82.1) containing Velcro (hook and loop fasteners), the five-point seat belt pad (32), the shoulder belt pad (41) and the fourth contact point pad (81) can be easily disassembled and mounted during group transition and/or when needed. In alternative embodiments of the invention, fixing parts (32.1, 41.1, 82.1) may consist of snaps, magnets and buttons. In a different alternative application, the fixing parts (32.1, 41.1, 82.1) can be easily disassembled and attached to each other with the help of a rope.

For the group transition process, the collar (20) must first be lifted upwards. Afterwards, the five-point seat belt pad (32) is separated from the places where the fourth contact point pad (81) is attached. Subsequently, the inner pad (50) is removed from the body (10). Afterwards, the female snaps (72) on the body fabric (70) are freed from the male snaps (13). After the male snaps (13) and female snaps (72) are separated from each other, the middle part of the body fabric, which is inserted into the sides of the body (10), is stretched forward body fabric (70) and then the five-point seat belt connection (30) is put into the slot (11) and the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) is removed from the slot (11). Without removing the pads on the 5 -point seat belt, the belt hooks are fixed by attaching them to the slots at the bottom. This process is shown in figure- 19.

In an alternative application of the invention, the fourth contact point (safe guard) (80) can be placed in the slot (11) and the five -point seat belt connection (30) can be removed from the slot (11). In the car seat, if only the body fabric (70) is to be removed without performing the group transition, there is no need to do anything about the slot (11).
