Description:
A Water Drain with Adjustable Tilt and Height

Technical Field

The invention relates to water drains used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies and gardens, which provide the transmission of the water to be drained to the sewer.

Prior Art

Water drains are the parts that are used in wet areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, and that allow the water to be discharged to be transmitted to the sewer. Water drains generally consist of cover, frame, lower body and drain part. While the lower body remains in the concrete, the upper body is placed on the lower body.

The cover and frame used in the water drains in the prior art are placed directly on the anti-odour part. In cases where the floor is uneven, the frame used in the water drain can only be moved up and down. If the ground is not smooth, puddles may remain around the water drain. Puddles can smell over time and cause a bad image. In the prior art, there is no water drain for inclined floors where the inclination can be compensated after installation.

In the national utility model document with the code TR2016/09829 included in the prior art, a water drain with wide freedom of movement, which includes an adjustable eccentric piece, is mentioned. Said water drain has an upper adjustment part comprising a circular cavity in its centre, at least two opposite sides of which are linear and said linear sides are parallel to each other, movable forward and backward in a linear channel between two side sets. The water drain in question only moves parallel to the ground. Once the siphon is fixed to the concrete, it is not possible to move the eccentric part up and down and at an angle and fix it at the desired angle. In the international patent application with the code PCT/TR2019/050752, which is included in the prior art, a wall-mounted water drain with an adjustment part is mentioned. Said water drain is characterized in that including an adjustment part positioned between the chamber and the flange, which is capable and free to move right, left and diagonally within the chamber by means of a movement gap, and a set positioned between the chamber cavity and the flange cavity, which is positioned between the chamber cavity and the flange cavity, which determines the limits of movement of the adjusting part by passing into said chamber cavity and the flange cavity, surrounding clearance of the adjustment part on at least one surface of said adjustment part like a wall. The water drain in question ensures that the centre misalignments and level differences between the siphon part fixed to the floor and the cover part can be compensated. In addition, it allows the water drain to be easily positioned in comers and close to the wall. The adjustment part stated in the said document is used in wall types. Depending on the inclination of the ground, it is not possible to move it up and down and fix it at the desired angle.

Purpose of the Invention

The aim of the invention is to provide a water drain for uneven floors, which can be adjusted in height and inclination without any modification to the floor.

The water drain developed to realize the aforementioned purposes is characterized in that including an adjustment part (40) having at least one tab (41) which exerts a pushing force by flexing in the direction of the tab contact surface (21) on the frame (20) in order to maintain the adjusted height and inclination of the frame (20) in order to ensure that the height and inclination of the frame (20) can be compensated for the differences in inclination and height of the surface coating, which may occur on the surface coating due to both the ground disturbance and the uneven amount of mortar, after the adjustment part (40) is fixed to the ground or during the fixing phase, without any breaking and modification operations. The invention relates to water drains used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies and gardens, which provide the transmission of the water to be drained to the sewer. The water drain, which is the subject of the invention, includes the cover (10), the frame (20), the anti-odour part (30), the adjustment part (40) and the sealing membrane (50).

In the water drain that is the subject of the invention, the cover (10) is placed on the frame (20). With the cover (10), the garbage large enough to cause clogging of the water drain is prevented from entering the water drain. In this way, clogging of the water drain is prevented.

The anti-odour part (30) includes the inner part (31), the outer part (32) and the gasket (33). The inner part (31) is positioned inside the outer part (32). Said inner part (31) ensures that the waste water coming from the frame (20) is transmitted to the adjustment part (40) and thus to the waste water line.

The frame (20) in the water drain is fixed on the anti-odour part (30). The protrusion (22) on the frame (20) fits into the slot (32.1) in the outer part (32). In this way, unintentional separation of the frame (20) and the anti-odour part (30) from each other is prevented. The anti-odour part (30) prevents the bad odour and pests formed in the waste water pipes from reaching the usage area.

Gasket (33) is used to prevent any water leakage and odour leakage between the frame (20) and the anti-odour part (30). Said gasket (33) is positioned on the inner part (31).

The frame (20) and the anti-odour part (30) are positioned inside the adjustment part (40). The adjustment part (40) ensures that the used water is transmitted to the waste water line. The adjustment part (40) can also provide eccentric movement according to the application area. Said adjustment part (40) includes parts such as frame (20) and anti-odour part (30). The adjustment part (40) can be in the form of "I" or "L" depending on the area in which it is used. The adjustment part (40) may also have different shapes in alternative embodiments of the invention.

There are tabs (41) on the adjustment part (40). The tabs (41) are in the shape of concave from the top towards the centre of the adjustment part (40). Tabs (41) are positioned on the adjustment part (40), which is a circular part. The distance between the ends of the opposing tabs (41) having a circular shape has the length R2. The tab contact surface (21 ) on the frame (20) has a diameter of R1. R2 distance is larger than R1 diameter. Since the diameter of R2 is larger than the diameter of Rl, the tab contact surface (21) is applied on the tabs (41) as a tight fit. Tabs (41) hold the frame (20) tightly by flexing outward from the centre.

Thanks to the inclined tabs (41) the inclination and height of the frame (20) and thus the cover (10) can be adjusted as desired. The frame (20) is inserted into the tabs (41) as a tight fit. It maintains the adjusted height and inclination as it is a tight fit. Thanks to the fixation of the frame (20) at the desired height and inclination, level and inclination disturbances due to uneven ground and mortar levels are compensated. In this way, the problem of water ponding due to the difference in height and inclination around the water drain is solved.

The tab (41) is in the shape of concave from the top towards the centre of the adjustment part (40). Thanks to its concave shape, the tab (41) applies a pushing force to the tab contact surface (21) on the frame (20) in such a way that it flexes without breaking. Thanks to the said thrust force, the adjusted inclination and height can be maintained. The length, angle, number and shape of the tab (41) can change. The tab (41) adjustment part (40) is made of plastic derivative material. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the adjustment part (40) can also be produced from different materials.

The tabs (41) are positioned on the tab legs (42). As a result of the tight fit of the frame (20), the tab legs (42) flex backwards slightly with the tabs(41) and apply a pushing force to the said frame (20). A space (43) is left between said tab legs (42) in order for the tab legs (42) to stretch backwards from the centre together with the tabs (41). Thanks to the space (43), the tab legs (42) apply a pushing force on the frame (20) tightly without breaking. Thus, the frame (20) can be easily adjusted at the desired inclination and height and maintains its adjusted shape.

A sealing membrane (50) is used in the water drain that is the subject of the invention. The sealing membrane (50) is fixed to the membrane fixing surface (44) on the adjustment part (40). By fixing the sealing membrane (50) to the membrane fixing surface (44), water leaks and leaks originating from the surface coating around the water drain are collected and directed to the sewage system. The sealing membrane (50) is fixed to the membrane fixing surface (44). In alternative embodiments of the invention, the sealing membrane (50) can be adhered to the membrane fixing surface (44) afterwards.

A water drain that is used in areas with wet floors such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies, gardens, and ensures that the water to be evacuated is transmitted to the sewer and characterized in that; including;

- an adjustment part (40) with at least one tab (41) that flexes in the direction of the tab contact surface (21) on the frame (20) in order to maintain the adjusted height and inclination of the frame (20) in order to compensate for the inclination and height differences that may occur on the surface coating due to the unevenness of the floor and the uneven amount of mortar, without any breaking or modification after the adjustment part (40) is fixed to the floor or during the fixation phase.
