Abstract:
Provided is an input device having a satisfactory operational feel. This input device includes: a base; an operating panel having a first recessed portion and a second recessed portion; a shaft portion which is provided on the base or the operating panel, and which axially supports the operating panel in a rotatable manner; a first operating knob having a first operating portion which rotates the operating panel in a first rotation direction under a pressing operation, and a second operating portion which rotates the same in a second rotation direction under a pulling-up operation; a second operating knob having a third operating portion which rotates the same in the second rotation direction under a pressing operation, and a fourth operating portion which rotates the same in the first rotation direction under a pulling-up operation; a rotation detecting portion which detects rotation of the operating panel relative to the base in the first rotation direction and rotation thereof in the opposite second rotation direction; a first capacitance detecting electrode which detects an operation on the first operating portion or the second operating portion; a second capacitance detecting electrode which detects an operation on the third operating portion or the fourth operating portion; and a control portion which distinguishes between a pressing operation and a pulling-up operation on the basis of the output from the rotation detecting portion, the output from the first capacitance detecting electrode, and the output from the second capacitance detecting electrode.
