Title:
INSOLUBLE TRANSDERMAL MICRONEEDLE PATCH, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/040568
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An insoluble transdermal microneedle patch, comprising: microneedles, the microneedles each comprising a base and a needlepoint located on the base, and the microneedle being mainly composed of cross-linked sodium alginate; and a backing, which is bonded to the base, part of the backing corresponding to the needlepoints being a hollowed-out portion. Further disclosed is a preparation method for the microneedle patch and an application thereof. The microneedle patch may act on the skin for a long time, and when same is used for transdermal drug administration, a drug may enter, by means of swollen pores after microneedles have acted on the skin after absorbing water, the micropores of the skin and be absorbed into the body, thereby increasing the bioavailability of the drug when administered transdermally. After drug administration has ended, the microneedles may be completely removed without increasing the metabolic burden in the body.
