Abstract:

An inspection system for coated paper is provided with: a travelling path (4) on which a paper-made web (W) travels; a coating device (10) for forming a band (2) by applying a coating liquid to the web (W) so as to cross in the widthwise direction of the web (W) and forming a plurality of the bands at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the web; a drying device (14) for drying the web on which the bands are formed; a detection unit (20) which is disposed on the downstream side of the coating device so as to detect a defect in the bands and/or a defect in the web which is produced by applying the coating liquid; a control device (50) to which the results of the detection of the detection unit are input and which includes a determination section (52) for determining the type of defect described above on the basis of the results of the detection; and a quality control unit (60) to which the results of the determination by the determination section are input so as to control the results of the determination.
