Abstract:
An intake device of an internal combustion engine capable of preventing uncomfortable feeling from providing to a driver by allowing the sound pressure characteristics of intake air sound to follow up the rise of the rotational speed of the engine. The intake device comprises a resonator (12) having resonating bodies (13) vibrated by the pulsation of intake air in an intake system (5), volume chambers (14) connected to the intake system (5) through the resonating bodies (13), and neck parts (16) allowing the inside spaces (15) of the volume chambers (14) to communicate with the outside. The internal spaces (15) of the volume chambers (14) are separated from the inside of the intake system (5) by the resonating bodies (13) to set the resonator (12) so that the sound pressure of a specified frequency zone can be released from the neck parts (16) to the outside by the vibration of the resonating bodies (13).
