Abstract:
This internal combustion engine comprises: a combustion chamber to which a gaseous fuel containing hydrogen is supplied; an ignition device configured to ignite the gaseous fuel in the combustion chamber; and a control device which controls the execution of the ignition operation of the ignition device at prescribed ignition times, wherein the prescribed ignition times include an initial ignition timing at which the ignition operation is carried out for the first time in one combustion cycle, and a subsequent ignition timing at which the ignition operation is carried out subsequently to the initial ignition timing within the one combustion cycle.
