Abstract:

An objective of the present invention is to provide an intraluminal foreign object catching tool capable of dilating a catching member for catching a foreign object to an appropriate size. This foreign object catching tool 10 is for catching an intraluminal foreign object and comprises: a core 20; a catching member 30 movably disposed on the exterior side of the core 20, movement of the leading end of which being restricted in a prescribed position of the core 20, said member dilating due to contraction in an axial direction; a cylindrical member 50 positioned on the exterior side of the core 20 and at a base end side of the catching member 30 for limiting movement of the base end side of the catching member 30; and a control member 60 positioned on the exterior side of the core 20 and on the inner side of the catching member 30 for limiting the degree of contraction of the catching member 30 in the axial direction. Through relative movement of the cylindrical member 50 and the core 20, the catching member 30 contracts in the axial direction through the length limited with the core member 60 and dilates.
