Title:
INTRAMEDULLARY NAIL AND BONE FIXATION INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/048092
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An intramedullary nail (1) comprises a cylindrical nail main body (10), a restriction body (20), and a ring body (30). A first female threaded region (15), a non-threaded region (17), and a second female threaded region (16) are formed in the inner circumferential surface of the nail main body (10) in the stated order from a tip end (Db) side. The restriction body (20) restricts relative movement and relative rotation of a bone fixation shaft member (2) relative to the nail main body (10) at a restriction position where the restriction body (20) is screwed into the first female threaded region (15). The ring body (30) has a ring body-side male threaded region (35) that can be screwed into the second female threaded region (16). The ring body (30) is disposed in the non-threaded region (17). An area where the ring body-side male threaded region (35) is formed is smaller than an area where the non-threaded region (17) is formed. The ring body (30) spins in the non-threaded region (17), so that the ring body (30) does not fall out of the nail main body (10). The ring body (30) prevents the restriction body (20) from falling off.
