Abstract:
Provided are an inventory management system and a wireless tag device that can suppress power consumption during data transmission. An inventory management system relating to one embodiment comprises a weight measurement unit that measures the weight of a shelf on which articles can be loaded and an RF tag that transmits a wireless signal containing information pertaining to the weight measured by the weight measurement unit in accordance with a read request from a wireless device, wherein the RF tag comprises a transceiver that generates power from received electromagnetic waves or a magnetic field and transmits a wireless signal using the generated power, a memory unit that stores the information pertaining to the weight measured by the weight measurement unit, and a control unit that causes the transceiver to transmit the wireless signal containing the information pertaining to the weight and stored in the memory unit.
