Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an iron-based oxide magnetic powder having good thermal stability, showing little change in the amount of radiowave absorption even in a high-temperature environment, and made of particles of ε-ferric oxide in which some of Fe-sites are substituted by another metal element, a radiowave absorber using the iron-based oxide magnetic powder, a green body in which the iron-based oxide magnetic powder is used, and a method for manufacturing the same. [Solution] A phosphorus-containing ion is caused to co-exist when a deposit of a hydrous ferric oxide including a substitute metal element generated by neutralizing an acidic aqueous solution including a trivalent iron ion and a metal ion substituting some of Fe-sites is coated with a silicon oxide using a silane compound, whereby it is possible to obtain an iron-based oxide magnetic powder having good thermal stability, showing little change in the amount of radiowave absorption even in a high-temperature environment, and made of particles of ε-ferric oxide in which some of Fe-sites are substituted by another metal element.
