Abstract:
This joined structure comprises a plate set formed by stacking together multiple plate members, and a thin plate member, which is thinner than the plate members and has an insertion member attached thereto and which is arranged stacked on and welded to the outside surface of said plate set. The ratio of the sum of the total thickness of the assembly and the entire outward protrusion length to the member protrusion length is less than or equal to 4, wherein the outward protrusion length is the length from the outside surface of the thin plate member up to the apical surface of a head part of the insertion member, and the member protrusion length is the sum of the outward protrusion length and the thickness of the thin plate member. A fused nugget is formed which extends from the distal end of a shaft part of the insertion member inside of the thin plate member to inside of the other plate members of the plate set. The ratio of the thickness of the fused nugget to the thickness of the thin plate member is greater than or equal to 10%.
