Abstract:
The present invention provides a laryngeal mask airway to be inserted in a patient in order to ensure that the patient's airway is open, comprising: a horizontally divided guide tube having one proximal end portion inserted into the larynx inside the trachea, having the other distal end portion exposed to the outside of the trachea, and guiding the insertion of an endotracheal tube and a flexible bronchoscopy inserted into the trachea in order to ensure that an airway is open; a horizontally divided mask integrally connected to the one proximal end portion of the guide tube and preventing fluid and air from flowing into the larynx inside the trachea from the outside; handle parts provided on the other side of the guide tube, and protruding to both sides of the guide tube so as to correspond to same such that an operator easily holds the guide tube; and a coupling member for coupling the horizontally divided guide tube and mask to each other.
