Abstract:
The present invention relates to a laser scanning-based self-pierce-riveting (SPR) fastening quality determination method comprising: a SPR fastening step for, in a SPR process, calculating an optimal fastening condition of a die and rivet assembly according to sheet assembly information, and enabling sheets to be SPR-fastened on the basis of the optimal fastening condition; a data collection step for, after the SPR fastening step, monitoring the surface of a fastened part formed by means of the SPR process, through a monitoring module comprising a laser scanner and a laser vision and thus collecting surface characteristics data of the surface of the fastened part; a characteristics value calculation step for, on the basis of the surface characteristics data, enabling the calculation of a quality characteristics value including the post-fastening diameter and effective length of the rivet; and a defect determination step enabling the determination of a defect in the fastened part on the basis of the surface characteristics data. In addition, according to the present invention, the effects may be achieved whereby, through a non-destructive process enabling the elimination of a process of physically destroying a test piece in order to determine the quality of SPR fastening, rapidity may be enhanced, and an on-site-friendly quality inspection may be carried out in real-time.
