Abstract:
Provided are a lead storage battery system and a method for estimating the deterioration of a lead storage battery which are capable of contributing to an improvement in reliability by more accurately estimating the degree of deterioration in a lead storage battery regardless of the cause of deterioration. The present invention is equipped with: a transition determination unit (131) for determining switching in the charge/discharge process of a lead storage battery (B); a current value determination unit (132) for detecting a change in the discharge current value during a discharge interval of the lead storage battery (B); a calculation unit (133) which, when the current value determination unit (132) has determined that a change in the discharge current value has occurred, calculates a CT value on the basis of the discharge current value obtained for each period delimited by the occurrence of said change; and a deterioration determination unit (135) for determining the degree of deterioration in the lead storage battery (B) by using the CT value calculated by the calculation unit (133).
