Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a lead wire straightening device with which the size of the device can be reduced.
A control device disposes a lead wire of a leaded component being held by a holding portion between a first clasp portion and second clasp portion. The control device controls an opening and closing drive portion of a straightening unit to clamp and straighten the lead wire using the first and second clasp portions. After the lead wire has been clamped, the control device controls the drive portion to cause at least one of the holding portion and the straightening unit to rotate, thereby changing the position of the first and second clasp portions relative to the lead wire. Then, after the positions of the first and second clasp portions relative to the lead wire have been changed, the control device once again causes the lead wire to be clamped and straightened by the first and second clasp portions.
